Ruth L. King

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Louise King, 81, of Raynham, MA, on January 17, 2023. Ruth grew up in Winthrop, MA, and was the daughter of the late William King and his wife, Elsie (Collins) King. Ruth settled in Raynham, MA as an adult, and worked as a switchboard operator for The Boston Five Cents Savings Bank, and later New England Sinai until she retired. Ruth enjoyed traveling, her hobbies such as knitting, was an avid animal lover, and supported many animal charities. Ruth was also an active participant in her church choir for many years. Ruth is survived by her sister, Carol (King) Keefe, and her husband, Thomas Keefe, of Sandwich, MA, and her brother, Peter King, and his wife, Linda King, of Raynham, MA. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sheila (King) Pinkman of Hobe Sound, FL, and Elisabeth (King) Waits of Sedro-Woolley, WA. Ruth is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in her honor on Sunday, January 29th at 2pm at the First Congregational Church of Raynham, 785 S. Main Street, Raynham, MA 02767. Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St. Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. Interment will be private.
