Cesar Eugenio Barbagelata Ferreyros

Cesar Eugenio Barbagelata Ferreyros of North Attleboro, formerly of Glen Cove N.Y and Lima, Peru, died Wednesday December 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 76 years old.

Cesar was a devoted husband and father who immigrated from Peru so that his kids would have the best opportunities.  Despite missing his extended family and a multitude of friends from Peru, he built a wonderful life in New York and helped his children thrive.  There was nothing he wouldn’t do for any of his kids.  He loved his grandchildren and spoiled them however he could.

Cesar graduated as a mechanical engineer, but his passion aligned more to civil engineering. He worked on many projects in Lima both commercial and private buildings. After moving the United States, he worked in home improvement in private homes.

He was the son of the late Felipe Barbagelata Balestrini and Emilia Ferreyros Leguia. Loving husband of Bertha I. Barbagelata (Jones) of N. Attleboro.  Devoted father of Melissa Shaltis and her husband Philip, Fabrizio Barbagelata, Fressia Anzalone and her husband Kyle, and the late Felipe Barbagelata. Proud grandfather of Aaron and Keira Shaltis.

He was the loving brother of Luisa Barbagelata de Viguria and Jorge Barbagelata.  He was preceded by his siblings Isabel Barbagelata, Ada Barbagelata, Felipe Barbagelata and Yolanda Barbagelata.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him including many friends, cousins and family members. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass celebrated Wednesday January 4, 2023 at 11 AM in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 59 Cottage Street, Sharon at 11 AM.
