Barbara K. (King) Scarborough

Barbara K. Scarborough of Dorchester died peacefully October 6, 2020. She was 86 years old. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and sister.  She was a devoted parishioner and even served as eucharistic minister and cantor at St. Brendan’s Parish in Dorchester. She was an avid camper for 20 + years. She enjoyed needlework, crossword puzzles, playing guitar and was a vicious Scrabble player against anyone who dared play with her.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora King, both of Ireland. Devoted wife of Joseph M. Scarborough Sr. of North Conway, N.H. (formerly of Dorchester).  Loving mother of Noreen S. Mazerski and her husband Brian of Henniker, N.H., Amy R. Scarborough and her late husband Vinny Carrozza of Lynn, Joseph M. Scarborough Jr. and his wife Joyce of Daphne, AL, Matthew K. Scarborough and his wife, Hollie of Kingston, Natalie A. Brodeur and her husband Steven of Weymouth, and Gregory K. Scarborough of North Conway, N.H. Loving sister of Mary Crawford and her husband Roy Crawford of Readville, and she is predeceased by her brother Joseph King, her sister Katherine and her husband, Arthur Hutchinson, and her sister Rita and her husband, John Cahill. Proud grandmother of Ian, Heather, Michael, Nicholas, Ashleigh, Andrew, Madison, and Lindsey. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Brendan’s Catholic Church 585 Gallivan Blvd. (St. Martin de Porres Parish) Dorchester, Saturday October 24th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend adhering to Covid-19 protocols. Interment will be private.  Arrangements by the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton.
