Barbara and her husband, Gerry raised six children in Canton during which time Barbara was very active in local politics including the League of Women Voters, Democratic Town Committee, and the first woman state appointed

Housing Authority member. She went on to enjoy a successful career as a real estate broker, which she thoroughly enjoyed. During her illustrious career, she  managed the local Jack Conway real estate office and received numerous accolades for her accomplishments.  She eventually moved to Winter Haven, FL to retire with Gerry where they enjoyed retirement for 24 years. After Gerry’s passing, she returned to Mansfield, Massachusetts and enjoyed spending time with her large and growing family.  She was an avid Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune fan and could outsmart anyone who dared to watch with her.
